Proudly sponsored by Stanthorpe Shire Council, the group, invited by Stanthorpe Mayor Glen Rogers, will make a special appearance as part of the cultural exchange with Shiwa - Stanthorpe's Sister City. Cr Rogers said "The Sansa Odori Cultural Dance Group are renowned for their beautiful, time honoured performances - the dancers will be dressed in traditional Japanese Kimonos, adding a new dimension to Apple and Grape Entertainment". "After the success of last Festival's Kinzan Drum concerts, Council wanted to give Shiwa the opportunity to showcase more of their talented performers." Comprising 22 performers, some as young as eight, the group includes six Kinzan Drummers, the group is making a special trip to Australia from Shiwa, Japan for the Apple & Grape Harvest Festival. The Kinzan Drummers thrilled audiences with their dynamic performance during the 2006 Festival. Now once again, they have returned to entertain you. You can catch the Sansa Odori Cultural Dance Group at a special performance at the Mystic Ball on Friday evening, at 10:00am and 6:00pm on Saturday in the Bandshell in Weeroona Park and a special appearance during the Grand Parade. There will be one last performance at 10:00am on Sunday, also in the Bandshell in Weeroona Park.
