Stanthorpe’s Apple and Grape Harvest Festival is calling on businesses and community groups to be part of the 2018 festival by sponsoring a Young Ambassador.
Fundraising by the Young Ambassadors and their sponsors helps to make the Apple and Grape Harvest Festival one of regional Queensland’s premier events, while keeping the costs to visitors low.
By sponsoring a Young Ambassador, businesses, community and sporting groups not only play an important role in Stanthorpe’s flagship event, but also showcase the work of their own organisations.
“Sponsoring a Young Ambassador is an exciting opportunity for businesses and organisations to contribute to the success of the Apple and Grape Harvest Festival and promote your brand to thousands of visitors,” festival president Greg Thouard said.
“With the 2018 festival less than a year away, sponsoring committees need to begin planning activities as soon as possible.”
Sponsors can either nominate their own Young Ambassador or be teamed with a candidate seeking a sponsor.
A number of potential Young Ambassadors have already expressed interest in being part of the 2018 Festival.
The Young Ambassador program is a chance for residents of the Southern Downs or adjoining NSW localities who are between the ages of 18 and 35 years to help promote the festival and the Southern Downs Region.
By taking part in personal development and public speaking programs and representing the festival and sponsors at local and regional events, Young Ambassadors develop skills which will assist them in their careers and general life, as well as meeting new people and making new friends.
The Festival Ambassador and Fundraising Ambassador will each receive a travel prize, and Ambassadors will also receive bonuses based on the amount they raise. Entrants must raise a minimum of $2500 to qualify for judging.
If you are interested in being a 2018 Young Ambassador or sponsoring a Young Ambassador, contact the festival secretary on email@example.com or phone 4681 4111.
The 2018 Apple and Grape Harvest Festival will be held from February 23 to March 4.
