Register your interest in Apple and Grape grand parade

IT'S time for Stanthorpe's community organisations and businesses to begin planning their entries for the 2018 Apple and Grape Harvest Festival grand parade.

Apple and Grape Harvest Festival Parade and Street Director Bill Brown has invited community and not-for-profit organisations, sporting clubs, schools, emergency services and businesses to get involved with one of the highlight events of the Festival.

The theme for the 2018 festival and grand parade is Food and Wine - It's Divine, celebrating the wonderful products of the Granite Belt.

Watched by tens of thousands of spectators and featuring on news packages, the grand parade will be a great opportunity to showcase the work and services of local groups and businesses.

In 2016, the 50th anniversary of the Apple and Grape Harvest Festival, the parade featured about 50 entries.

The event also featured a host of bands and entertainers and lasted for 90 minutes.

"Last year, we had busloads of people who came from as far away as north Queensland," Mr Brown said.

The parade will be held on Saturday, March 3 next year, as part of the 10-day festival.

Entry forms for those interested in being part of the the grand parade are available now.
