Gardeners invited to be part of the Apple & Grape Festival

The Apple and Grape Harvest Festival is seeking expressions of interest from Stanthorpe and district gardeners who would like to be part of 2018 Stanthorpe Open Gardens.

Stanthorpe Open Gardens was reintroduced to the Apple and Grape Harvest Festival program in 2016, attracting more than 4000 visits to the 10 participating gardens over 10 days.

Sixty-two per cent of the garden visitors travelled from outside the local region.

Event organisers received positive comments from the visitors, gardeners who opened their gates to the public and volunteers who manned the gates.

As a result of the popularity of the event,  Stanthorpe Open Gardens will be held again during the first and second weekends of the 2018 festival(February 23-March 4) and on Wednesday and possibly Thursday of Festival week.

Organisers are inviting expressions of interest from owners of all styles and sizes of garden, including new participants.
