International team challenges celebrities for Queensland Grape Crushing Title

Channel 7 celebrity Livio Regano makes a welcome return this Saturday and will join local and international teams in the Border Post Grape Crush at the Apple and Grape Harvest.

While Channel 7 weatherman Livio is an experienced grape crusher, having tested his skills at the 2016 festival, Queensland Weekender he will be up again some stiff competition from newcomers James Lister and David Littleproud.

Rumours are around that both politicians have been receiving tips from Lawrence Springborg, a much feared crusher in his parliamentary days.

Surprise names are being passed around the Apple & Grape office as to who will fill the 4th barrel in these Queensland Grape Crushing Championships.

Experienced teams from festival partners, The Stanthorpe Border Post and Rebel FM, will crush-off against the Apple & Grape Ambassadors who are looking forward to a fun time after a 12-month lead up to the festival and appearance at the Gala Ball.

The Grape Crush will have an international element this year, with a media team from a Hong Kong magazine joining the fray.

Be outside the Stanthorpe Post Office at 4pm on Saturday to see the grapecrushing action.

The Grape Crush is a highlight of the 2018 Apple and Grape Harvest Festival, which culminates this Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4,  with  the Channel 7 Grand Parade, Massed Bands display featuring the Australian Army Band and the Australian Navy Band, Multicultural Carnival with two days of music and international cuisine, open gardens, fireworks, street carnival and more.
