Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Festival held?

In the town of  Stanthorpe, in southern Queensland, which is approx 3 hours drive from Brisbane.

When is the next Festival on?

Friday 7th March to Sunday 9th March 2008.

Does the Festival cost anything?

No, there is no charge.

The exception to this is the GRAND Ball, which is $65 per person.  Please phone 07 4681 3211 for ticket bookings. 

What about Accommodation?

Which is the best day to come?

Each day has something different to offer, so it really depends on what you prefer.

How do I apply for a Street Carnival or Multicultural Fiesta Stall?

When is the Grand Parade and where is it?

The Grand Parade is on Saturday, starts at 2:00pm and lasts for at least one hour.

The Massed Bands start at 10.45 am.

Can I enter the Grand Parade and how much does it cost?

Yes you can and there is no charge.  Please refer to the Grand Parade Participant Manual for more information.

How can I participate in the Grape Crush?

Entrants in the Grape Crush are by invitation to special guests only.  The general public participate by being a spectator. 

Will there be special seating for the elderly and disabled for the Grand Parade?

No.  You should arrange to bring your own chair.

What time are the Fireworks and where are they?

The Fireworks commence at 7.30pm at Carnarvon Bridge at the Southern end of Maryland Street.

Where can I park?

Wherever you can!  There is no allocated parking and no vehicles are permitted to access the centre of the town.  Finding a suitable parking space should not be a problem, however you may have a short distance to walk to the Festival.

What about parking for people with a Disability?

Parking for Disabled persons is located in the Woolworths Carpark in High Street.   You will need to display a Disability Parking label in your car.
