Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival - 2010 Gala Ball

Friday 2nd March

Join in the Apple Peeling Competition and novelty events of Apple Day and the friendly competition of  the 4BBB Stableford Golf & Henselite & Australian Bowls Directory Bowls Day at the Stanthorpe Sports & Country Club.

Seniors are invited to enjoy the Seniors Concert and all are invited to enter the results of their own 'secret recipes into the QCWA Apple Pie & Teacake, Apple Jelly & Grape Jam Competitions. Join in the fun of the inaugural Apple and Grape Harvest Festival Quilting Competition.

Local businesses join in the fun by decorating their windows especially for this fantastic Festival!  Don't miss the Fruit Display that showcases a variety of the Region's produce.

Friday is topped off with the Gala Ball and the crowning of the 2012 Apple & Grape Festival Ambassador & Fundraising Ambassador. (Ticket Admission only). 

Or join in the fun of the Movie Night.  Food & drink available for all the family (alcohol free event).

Saturday 3rd March

The town comes alive with the Street Carnival, Stalls & Entertainment, great Food & Wine and an opportunity to enjoy the traditional Grand Parade as well as the Massed Pipe & Brass Bands, Market in the Mountains, Rides for young and old, Roving Musicians and Bands, Poets in the Piazza, Decorated Windows - and a whole lot MORE!

For a different Festival perspective, why not take a Helicopter Ride over the town?  A visit to the Stanthorpe Art Festival 2012 at the Stanthorpe Art Gallery is a must!

As crowds gather in the main street for the Grand Parade.  Planning for other special events is currently underway.

After the Grand Parade comes the legendary Grape Crush where Celebrities and local identities come together to compete for the title of Queensland Grape Crushing Champion!

Join in the fun of the Pizza Eating Competition - just watching might be preferable to many!  Make sure you don't miss the Fruit & Wine Auction.

As darkness falls, watch the skies above the town as the fantastic Fireworks Spectacular commences.

Live entertainment continues into the night in various local Clubs &  Hotels.

Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival - Food & Wine Fiesta

Sunday 4th March

What a way to start the day!  Enter the Health & Daily Living Solutions & Ten FM Mt Marlay Challenge and Fun Run.  Participants will run (or walk!) around the town course, up Mt Marlay (919m above sea level) finishing back at the start line.

The Stanthorpe Museum plays host to the 'Big Bush Breakfast' from 8:00am.

Sunday continues the fun with the Wine Fiesta in Weeroona Park, Multicultural Food & Entertainment Extravaganza, more great food & wine, markets, street stalls, rides, attractions and live entertainment.

Teams will have the opportunity to compete in the Fruit & Vegetable Packing Race in Weeroona Park and the Stanthorpe Art Festival 2012 will be open once again.
